experiments in temperature control

AS220 20th anniversary festival is quite awesome! I'm feeling tired and hot, though, so I decided to take a break and come home.

When I got home, I put my hat in the freezer for ten minutes or so, then took it out and put it on. It felt so, so good. (The hat warmed up after a few seconds, though.)

I'm supposed to meet up with the rest of the band at 10 pm behind AS220 to unload, so I think I'll try to take a nap until around 9 and then pack up, shower, change, and head over. (The show is at 11:45 pm inside AS220; it sounds like some of my friends will be able to make it, which will be fun!)

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] peachcrush for the picture she took which is the basis for my new livejournal icon.

man, I swear I saw you there. Were you wearing a cat and girl shirt? Because if that was you, Matt Garber and I totally walked up to you and invited you to be in the webcomic t-shirt wearing club.
Later we talked to someone who was wearing a Homestarrunner shirt (limozeen!).
And if that wasn't you, then now you have an amusing anecdote regarding the sense of humour that Matt and I occasionally share.

Man, I KNEW it! I said to Matt, "Hey! Isn't that Swifty's Providence friend?" and Matt was all, "no, I don't think so." What does he know anyway?
I was contemplating trying to bring it up, all suave-like, but I couldn't figure out how. I should have just said, "HEY Do you know Swifty?"
I did not mind your social awkwardness. I hang out almost entirely with geeks so I am pretty used to that sort of thing.

Did he ever make friend bear tees?
That would be amazing.
