Plea for assistance

Where would you go to get plain black tee shirts in Providence and environs? I have tried a few places, but it appears that Providence is in the middle of a Great Black Tee Shirt Drought, so my attempts so far have been unsuccessful.

(Specifically I tried a bunch of places at the Providence Place Mall and also the Job Lot on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston.)

Craft stores have black tshirts. Such as ACMoore on Rt2 in Warwick. Also, American Apparel is opening Oct 1st in providence. They do a good job with unbranded solid colored tshirts.

I've had similar issues down here in Philly. Found a very limited selection at Burlington Coat Factory. The more truly underwear-like black tees are easier to find but not really appropriate for stepping out in stealth mode.

definately the cheapest option is at a craft store. a/apparel will be the best quality, most expensive and most sexist option come october.

i'm a huge Salvation Army fan. well, i mean, i DO have problems with the organization, but... i guess I mean that I am a huge THRIFT STORE fan - which around here amounts to the Salvy. Try the one by Eastside Market - all the wealthy Eastsiders dump their stuff there. I'm always finding perfectly good American Eagle and Eddie Bauer basics for Eric there. They are SURE to have black t's.
