well, you're not really right about how i came to be living in providence.
i was working at the university of missouri, kind of sick of being in the midwest and very sick of working with my former boss. i wanted, actually, to work and live on the east coast, to which i had never really been.
when i learned that my current boss got the job at brown, i emailed him (a friend of mine who i had known since high school), and he said he was looking for an assistant. i said i was available, and so that's the end of that story. i left without completing my masters in english, but i plan on completing it by the end of the year.
i remember when her husband taught a class of ours once. it was awesome. we honestly loved her. i remember writing an email to her because i was so pissed off with my needlessly conservative classmates, and she was understanding.
