4th of July weekend pictures
My sister and her family live across the street from my father and stepmother in Massachusetts, so I drove up and visited them this past weekend and took a bunch of pictures.
My sister made this bag using yarn she dyed herself plus some gray yarn she purchased.
This is my father and stepmother's house by the lake.
On Sunday my sister and I walked to the elementary school so that my nephew Ezra could play on the playground.

What, no fireworks?
My 19-month-old niece was really getting into the fireworks. She's been fascinated by patterns of lights and reflections since she could start to see them, and she likes loud noises and surprises, so I figured it would be just her thing. She was absolutely worn out from a sugar-fueled day at the carnival and playground, and she was amazed by how the fireworks were something fun that she could lie down for. The words "wow" and "whee" and "boom" got a lot of exercise last night!
