bath mat and baby blanket updates

I'm blocking the bath mat (which seems silly, but it was really not rectangular before blocking and looked even sillier), so here's what I've got:

I've sewed some of the baby blanket pieces together; next up is more blocking, then more sewing together, then maybe some more of each, and then it will be time to knit a border on it.

Several of the pieces came out larger than the pattern claimed they would, but I'm not sure if it's because the pattern was faulty or if my gauge was screwy (although I did do a gauge square before I started). I've decided not to worry about this for now, and I guess I'll just try to make whatever adjustments are necessary when it's time to add the border.
