Don't have anything better to do? Come to my New Year's Eve party!

When: Saturday, December 31 starting at 8 pm and going late.

Where: My apartment at 561 Public Street. [directions]

What you can bring
You don't have to bring anything; I'm sure there will be lots of supplies on hand, and the main thing is the people. If you want to, you can bring something you'd like to eat or something you'd like to drink.

For people looking for more specific suggestions, here are a few things I'd like to have on hand. If you want to bring any of them, please comment so that I won't buy them myself.

Veggies and dip
Potato and tortilla chips
A six-pack of beer (maybe a few people could bring this)
A dessert (again a few of these could be useful)

I will make some cookies and will get a few bottles of Champagne, plus various other odds and ends ...

I assume that people will mostly have already had dinner, but I will make sure that there are a couple of pizzas for those who haven't.

I'd like to get some noisemakers and stuff, so if anyone knows of a good party supply place around I'll take care of that.

My apartment has a large room that sort of naturally splits into two parts, so perhaps I'll have a movie going on in one half and those who don't want to watch the movie can socialize or play games or whatever in the other half. There may also be robot races.
