Really I have only ever had online conversations with two .net kooks.

The first is Archimedes Plutonium who I first ran into probably a little less than ten years ago. My favorite thing he ever said about me was:

Someone should write a song titled the Birdbrains of Mathematics dedicated of Jacob Haller.

The other is George Hammand, who told me once:

Of course you're an oxymoron ignoramus who probably says "hi everybody" when he walks in the room.

Do these guys have my number or what?

not a kook, but

Curtis Yarvin once emailed me to say
you're not, you know, interesting
I was so impressed, I put it in my .sig for several months.

I'm hearing it now

"The Birdbrains of Mathematics" sounds much like Big Dipper's "The Monsters of Jazz." Unfortunately, I'm not hearing it particularly clearly yet.

Kurt Stocklmeir once said he guessed I had created a curse associated with people from Nebraska. That may have been the highlight of my entire tenure on Usenet.

I'm sure George Hammond said a few choice things about me, too, but I can't remember any of them right now. Probably because I usually had him PLONKED! since I generally found him more annoying than funny.

Didn't he also manage to kill our favorite politician, Mel Carnahan, with a curse? For some reason I have a memory of you, Kurt, Carnahan, and curses all linked together in some sort of weird Death Ray Stew.

Why an oxymoron ignoramus? Very odd.
