I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that maybe should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Then post this in your own LJ and find out what people don't know about you.
My mother taught me how to knit when I was in elementary school, I think 4th grade.
For the music stuff:
In elementary school through high school I played saxophone (alto initially, then tenor). Unfortunately I've given that up and I'm not sure where my saxophone actually is these days.
My current two instruments are piano and guitar, which I started playing in high school and college respectively. I think I'm more skilled on the piano, but some of my favorite stuff sounds better on the guitar, so what are you going to do?
Stylistically I mostly play blues, especially on the piano. I've also been playing a lot more countryish and (to a lesser extent) folky stuff on the guitar. The first song I figured out for myself on the guitar was Big Road Blues, an old Tommy Johnson tune. (Super lo-fi recording made by playing and singing into a USB microphone.) And here's me playing and singing a Muddy Waters tune, Gypsy Woman (with my friend Chris playing guitar).
I have generally been pretty easy-going, I think. The main exception was 7th and 8th grades, when I was friendless and miserable and threw occasional tantrums. But that's junior high school for you!

Well, maybe not ever, unless a year counts as long-term.

Can I ask two questions? Doh! That makes it 3!
Also, since friendships should not be all about just one hobby, when did you start playing music and what is your favorite to play?

All of this ignores my fake internet band, where I do all kinds of crazy junk.
