Question I asked at today's departmental meeting

"Is everyone basically happy, or are there things that are making you angry or annoyed, such as being forced to attend these meetings?"

I'm assuming that was a manager, probably one at a fairly high level who didn't have a clue as to what was going on and really doesn't want to so by asking that question, it absolves them of all guilt and still leaves you in the mushroom loving atmosphere you have become accustomed to. Am I right? Did I get it right?
