I had some of the best times of my life playing spider solitaire for hours on end singing along really loudly to Queen.
I always say I wish I had more of a life, but every time I have the opportunity to do more stuff, I'm like, "Oh, I've been so busy at work/school, I just want to stay home tonight" (which is usually why I miss SnB every other week or so).
Well, it wasn't so long ago that I thought, 'I live my ten-year-old self's dream life: I spend all my time in my apartment eating junk food and playing with my computer. Why am I so miserable?' There isn't an easy way to win these mind games with yourself.
DH often talks about how he wishes he could go back and talk to himself at 10 or 15 and tell himself how cool it'll be when he's old. He rhapsodizes about how most of his life is a young teen's wet dream.
I hope that's not a bad thing, because I have heartily endorsed that product and/or service. When I had no life I was much more relaxed; since I've gotten a life I've gotten bags under my eyes and a few thousand extra pounds.
