Some of you might remember a challenge from a while back where I wrote ten sets of lyrics based on the interests of some of my Livejournal friends.

You might also remember that I recently ordered a new piece of recording gear, which I am still impatiently waiting for them to ship grar smash.

But, still, eventually it will arrive, and I will want to test it out. But what should I record?

Well, putting both of those little trips down memory lane together, I come up with this:

it should be in the style of a mushy teen girl crush song. I keep thinking of Tom Dreesen's old bit about Engelbert Humperdinck, how it was a good thing he changed his name so girls could sigh, "Oh, Engelbert!" because if they said, "Oh, Arnold!" it would sound like the pig on Green Acres. Hey, I didn't know he was in Man on the Moon. I need to get around to seeing that sometime. I also didn't remember him in Spaceballs, which I could always use an excuse to see again.
