That's right, the Doctor Who socks project is finally done! Well, except I still have to work some ends in.

Here are a couple of views of sock #2.

I was originally going to use a papier-mache meerkat my mother gave me for christmas to model the sock/scarf above, but it turns out not to have the right diameter neck so I used a bottle of club soda and a guitar stand instead. But it's a pretty nice meerkat anyway so here it is:

plorkwort's feet are 8 1/2 inches long while mine are 10 1/2 inches, so I think that might not be a good idea. But! How big are your feet?

this is weird, but i just measured them for you. They are exactly 8 inches.

Well, I'll be bringing the socks to SNB tonight and probably tomorrow, so if you or any other petite-footed folks want to try them on you'll have an opportunity to do so.

Measuring one's own feet with a ruler does feel like a pretty strange thing to do. Perhaps this is one of the things that motivated the invention of the Brannock Device.
