I got this idea from urbeatle, although I'm not sure if he originated it or not. The rules are:

• Post the names of 20 of your favorite bands / musicians
• See who can guess which is your favorite song by each.
• Once someone guesses right, bold that row and include the song.

Here's my list of bands. I tried to get some variety in, and to avoid bands that nobody would have heard of, but we will see how successful I was.

When urbeatle tried it, nine separate people submitted guesses, This resulted in a grand total of four correctly guessed songs. So it's sort of an absurdly hard exercise. It's mainly interesting to see what people guess, not so much to see if they guessed correctly, I think.

Are you thinking of the Flamingos recording of "I Only Have Eyes For You", maybe? I don't think I've heard the Ink Spots perform it.
