Done today: took out trash, made up shopping lists.
Tomorrow: Go shopping, tidy, clean laundry, make cookies. With luck, Ed Wood DVD arrives. Dance band practice.
Friday: Do mildly secret thing, finish tidying, cook food. With luck, Doctor Who DVDs arrive. Enjoy party.
Saturday: To be determined. Go to Massachusetts? Go to cgoldfish's party? Go to Stone Soup and participate in a hoot?
Sunday: Go to Schenectady for family event. Return from Schenectady from family event.

whats a hoot?

It's either short for or derived from 'hootenanny', which is an informal gathering to play folk music. In this case it's what Stone Soup calls the open mike they have before some shows.

The Stone Soup hoot is more enticing than your average open mike because there will presumably be a bunch of people there to see the main act, so there's a possibility of being seen by a bunch of people who wouldn't otherwise see you.

Also, Erin McKeown used to play at the Stone Soup hoots, and she is a goddess.
