A few days ago I dropped my iPod. Observe the sadness:



Apple is sending me a mailer so I can mail it to them for repair, which they claim they will do for free (although I will have to pay for shipping and handling), which was a little surprising to me.

Happy travels, poor little iPod!

that is so very sad! I am glad you posted this, because I constantly drop my ipod (it's surprisingly sturdy) so it's good to know apple will fix it when it inevitably falls apart.

I guess they fix it for free within 12 months of purchase, and if it breaks within 6 months of purchase you don't even have to pay shipping.

my chuniri. (http://www.hangebi.ge/chunirien.htm) I hope it fared better, because a trip back home is most definitely not free! So far I'm afraid even to open the bag and look. I just felt to make sure the soundbox and head weren't broken and the neck wasn't loose.
