A new year

Taking a break from tidying the apartment ...

I don't really like resolutions, but here are some things I would like to do (or do more of) this year which should be do-able:

- Throw a dinner party.

- Travel for reasons other than work.

- For the next month, I would like to play my accordion at least once a day that I'm home, even if it's just a song or two. (Sorry, upstairs and downstairs neighbors!)

- Walk more. (I have been pretty bad about this lately -- I do still walk, which is good, but not as often as I ought.)

- Go to a goddamn dentist.

Thanks to all of you for being in my life. It is kind of amazing to think how many of you I've only just met this year.

(The apartment tidying is going well, if anyone is concerned.)

do you have a ghetto liquor store near you? what time do they close - can you believe NOBODY near me carries boone's farm?

Yes, there's one pretty nearby. If you come to my house and turn right onto Broad Street, you'll see a liquor store on your left before too long. It's Nunez Liquors at the corner of Broad and Dartmouth. (The streets on the left go: Public, Moore, Princeton, Whitmarsh, Peace, Plenty, Wesleyan, Dartmouth -- guess the folks who used to go here were college folk.)

Be careful crossing the street; you may be blessed with a giant head, but you shouldn't walk in front of cars like that.

Hey, do you want to go for a walk this week? I think shortly I'm going to go downtown and then walk to the mall to see if anything's open and if so if there's anything I can get my sister for her birthday. I wouldn't inflict a mall visit on anyone, though.

For the rest of the week, Thursday and Friday are probably the best days for me, and Wednesday might be do-able. SNB will happen on Thursday.

Not sure what I'm doing next weekend. Hopefully not a lot.

Oh geez. YPI OUTspoken youth wants to start meeting on Thursdays to just hang out. Why are Thursdays so popular?
Probably Friday, or if Wednesday is good, that would probably be better.
