Answer: probably not, but it can't hurt.

Update:

Yeah, pretty pointless -- there was maybe an inch of snow and we're supposed to get 10-18, so I doubt I'll even be able to tell when I get up next that I did anything (especially since it's supposed to be pretty windy too).

Anyway, I took a few pictures. They probably aren't that interesting except as a comparison with whatever comes later.

Here's how the scarf is used. The half-gloves weren't all that useful, so I will have to find my real gloves.

I find this perversely amusing. You're expected to get 1-2x as much snow as Syracuse did in all of January; meanwhile Syracuse, and even the snow belt north of Syracuse, have maybe one to three inches in the forecast.

I went to the Stop & Shop twice yesterday (once to get water and granola bars and once to get stuff for the show) and it was mobbed both times. Admittedly I was part of the crowd, but the snow's supposed to stop coming down by around 6 pm (although it'll still be windy after that); you don't need that many supplies to get through. (An impressive number of people were buying multiple cases of soda.)

Current forecast is 8-14 inches.
