music/podcasting question

I've been thinking about trying to do a music podcast which would consist of recordings I make. Ideally it would be mostly new recordings (although in some cases new recordings of songs I've already recorded at one time or another) of mostly solo stuff (so either just me or me plus stuff I hack together in Garage Band). I would also have a separate introduction track in which I made some brief comments about the song.

I'm thinking I would try to update it daily until March 13 (which is when my next West Side Arts show is) and less frequently (probably much less frequently) after that.

So, the main questions are:

- Is this a good idea? Would anyone actually want to listen to this?

- Is it enough to have a podcast, or should I also post links to the recordings to my livejournal? (Would that get annoying for my livejournal friends?)

- Are there any songs in particular that people would like to hear me record or comment on?

It sounds like a good idea to me, and I'd probably listen at least some of the time, given that I listen to some of the ones you link to on the LJ.

Links to the recordings would be good to have somewhere, but putting them on a static Web page might be enough, if the address is clear from your podcast.

I think you should just make a thread for your podcasts and post in it whenever you make a new one.
