sharp, barbed needle

I repaired the handle to a felted bag I made a few years ago. The repairs were done using a technique called 'needle felting', during the course of which I used the sharp, barbed object on the left to poke many, many holes in the small piece of styrofoam on the right. piece of styrofoam with many holes poked in it

The accomplishment is that I managed to not stab any of my fingers while doing this.

So I have to ask

as the resident infinitive-splicer: Which of your fingers did you manage to not-stab?

The background behind the styrofoam looks like something my scanner would create all on its own.

what's the fun of needle felting if you don't poke yourself?
