This is a cartoon from the current New Yorker.

So.

[Poll #952961]
And while I'm at it, here's this month's Cartoon Caption Contest.

My question here is simpler.

[Poll #952962]

"Yes, sir, I am aware that Jesus Christ died for my sins."

Alert the media, but I like the actual caption on the first cartoon better than the suggested alternatives.

Though a joke about the painting with no reference to headlessness might have worked on a surreal level.

"Why yes, we ARE looking for someone who wants to get ahead in the organisation!"

Ow, the obvious bag has my leg!

'Quite simply, Feldman, there are those of use who think you just don't have the head for marketing.'

Something about headhunters

in that canoe in the painting might be nice. But really it should be about Captain Marvel's secret identity, of course.

For the caveman, I'm struggling to come up with something about time dilation and how fast he must have been going, but not managing to get past "Three hundred million meters per second, it's not just a good idea" etc.

"You see how it is, Crane - with the price of pumpkin futures the way it is now, there's just no way the company can afford a replacement."

Yeah, this is where I would've gone with it, only not as funny. Probably a much more overt reference to Sleepy Hollow.

Under make and model, I'm putting "Ford Torus."

On a tangential note, I am currently fascinated by the 1/2 zero-point vote these LiveJournal polls have, like they're some kind of Quantum Harmonic Poll.
