I hadn't heard of Livingston Taylor before, but apparently he's James Taylor's brother and sounds kind of like him.

Mose Allison is a singer/songwriter/pianist; I've heard a few things of his. He's pretty jazzy and his vocal style is quite smooth.

Tom Lehrer taught math at Harvard and UNC-Santa Cruz. He also had a short career as a writer of funny songs, which he sang and performed on the piano. (He gave it up because he realized he didn't enjoy performing.) Some of his songs were 'Poisoning Pigeons in the Park', 'The Masochism Tango', 'The Vatican Rag' ... he also wrote some songs for the PBS show The Electric Company: 'Silent E' and 'L-Y' . According to Wikipedia, he also might have invented the jello shot while he was in the army.

I don't really think I sound much like any of them, but it's still a pretty nice write-up!

Where I come from, being compared to Tom Lehrer is a great honor, so congratulations! "The Elements" is always a show-stopper ;-) Given today's political environment, "Who's Next?" could make a comeback, too...

i like the review, but livingston taylor? i don't like james taylor, and livingston is his slightly retarded brother. no way, man. nothin' like that dude. steer clear of that.
