For my birthday last year, my friend [livejournal.com profile] plant_geek gave me a papyrus plant, which I think is the first real house plant I've ever owned. It and I have been through some tough times, but a year later it survives:

A couple of weeks ago I acquired a couple of more plants as payment for playing at the City Farm Plant Sale. Plant #2 is some variety of basil that is threatening to take over my windowsill:

I have included a Rubik's Cube so you can see how frickin' enormous the thing is.

Third up is a strawberry plant:

you can make it in small batches as it grows. i used to do that with my windowbox basil in new york. just take a few leaves off at a time.

my basil is not that large. and i have 4 plants of it.

Maybe the serrations come later.

The largest leaves on your plant appear somewhat serrated.
