My sister asked about Monday's game, so here's the little write-up I sent her:
I think it might have been the best game I've seen live at Fenway! I guess Wakefield had been kind of shaky recently, but he pitched six no-hitter innings before giving up a single in the 7th inning (and another in the 8th, so it was a two-hitter overall.)
The Devil Rays pitcher also did pretty well. He gave up a run in the 1st but managed to keep any more runs from getting in until he got pulled after the 7th inning, so despite Wakefield's string of strikes it was always close. Then at the end of the game they put in a reliever who let in a couple more runs pretty quickly, which was a satisfying end to the game.
You know that at most games a bunch of people leave after the 8th inning (or earlier if the score is really lopsided)? I didn't see anyone do that at this game.
Anyway, it was pretty fun.

PS. You know how they let the batters pick the song that plays when they come up to bat? Mike Lowell's is 'Iron Man'.
