Some may recall that in January I wrote an odd little Greek-tragedy-inspired thing calld Iphegenia at Old Country Buffet.

Yesterday I was inspired to write a sequel (in the sense that the two plays have no characters in common) to it called Hot Prometheus Action. A couple of people said they liked it so I thought it was worth mentioning here.

I originally tried to follow the plot of Oedipus at Colonus much more closely, but it turns out that that play has too many frickin' characters, so I abandoned the first attempt and rewrote it from scratch.

It has been brought to my attention that 'Spongemonkies' should, strictly speaking, be 'Spongmonkies'. I hope this doesn't detract too much from your reading experience.

Personally I prefer The Abduction of Figaro. Good fun.

STRICTLY strictly speaking

it's Spongmonkeys (http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp-q=spongmonkey&sp-a=sp100125f7)., of course. I still like to pronounce it like "sponge."

I don't remember "Oedipus at Colonus" having much of a plot; it was more this sort of dyspeptic This Is Your Life episode, in which Oedipus tells off everyone he ever knew to get back at them for his life of dumb choices and rotten luck, and then dies and becomes a god or something, the end. But it was a long time ago.
