Man, does anyone even go by the nickname "Steffy?" I get that shit all the time. If I ever meet someone with that name, I will grasp them by the shoulders and say, "DEAR GOD- WHYYYY?"

All I can think of

is a friend of a former bandmate whose nickname, short for Kupferer, was immortalized in his song "Sad Sight to See":

Kuffy cleans the dishes	(or, when we played it on his family's farm, shovels [manure])
and he drives from Millerton.
Ya ask him how he's doin'
and he says it's not much fun.

Kuffy was one of many real-life characters cast as sad sights to see in this college lament, but IIRC the only one actually named.
