Chris asked me to pass this information around:
Happy Monday Everyone,

Just wanna let you know that I'll be playing this thursday the 11th at Nick-A-Nees, 9pm to midnight, with the great local singer and harmonica player Chris Turner.

You may know Chris from the Providence Wholebellies, from his residency a few years ago at Trinity Brew House on Wednesdays with the Last Minute Blues band, from his work at Trinity Repertory Theatre or his many other projects. We'll be playing mainly blues but with some trad stuff and originals thrown in.

Nick-A-Nees is a very nice relaxed spot with beer, food, pinball and pool, with seating outside and all that that entails.

Thanks,
Chris
I'm sorry that I won't be in town to see this, because Chris Turner is a really good musician and a lot of fun. (He and his wife have a website at http://www.fiddleandharmonica.com/.) Although if I were in town this show probably wouldn't happen, so there's that too. Anyway, I recommend checking it out.

A friend from college, Greg, is getting married next year and has asked me to be a groomsman, which I've agreed to do. He and his fiancée are thinking that it could be fun to have music recorded by the wedding party playing while the pictures are being taken, since apparently there are a fair number of professional and semi-professional musicians included there. I said, "Sure, I probably know a few songs that aren't outrageously inappropriate ..."

Now if only I can think of what they are.

That is why I am putting this behind a cut: to tease all y'all. )
